About me

I am a computational physicist by education working as a data analyst. I mainly do my work in Python.

My current work is at the labor union Fagforbundet where I do in-house data engineering and analysis tasks. I have previously worked at the worker cooperative Analyse & Tall.

This website is hosted on my own home server and runs completely on open source software. The contents of the page are very much work in progress. All files used to generate this website can be found in a Git repo.

Interests

Commons and collective ownership

Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) Writing code in the open makes it more accessible and fosters a culture of sharing and collaborative innovation.
Worker cooperatives Workers owning and running their own workplaces collectively. I am also interested in multi-stakeholder cooperatives where e.g. both workers and customers own the firm together.
Communal living Forms of living that challanges the current atomized life with little connection to ones neighbors.

Heterodox economics

Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) A theory of the nature and origins of money, based on the traditions of chartalism and the state- and credit theories of money.
Classical and marxian economics Viewing exchange values as a result of some material property of commodities, instead of some relation of the metaphysical concept of "utility".
Stock-flow consistent modelling Economic modelling based on principles of double entry book keeping.

Urbanism

Human friendly cities Cars bad
Public transit Public transit good
Utility cycling Dutch-style bikes, cargo bikes, etc.
